Character Sets and Font Formats
MVB Standard character set
Standard fonts (such as Regular, Book, Roman, Small caps, Mid caps, Italic, Semibold, Bold, etc.) include the following characters:

NOTE: Your ability to access some of the characters will vary depending on the operating system and software used. Some users will not be able to use all the characters shown.
MVB Extra character set
Extra fonts are similar to most Expert fonts, except they do not necessarily contain small caps (small caps, when available, are provided in a complete SC font). MVB Extra fonts contain the following characters:

NOTE: Your ability to access some of the characters will vary depending on the operating system and software used. Some users will not be able to use all the characters shown.
Euro and Alt fonts
The Euro symbol is encoded in all Standard fonts. However, the character is not accessible in all applications. So all MVB Fonts come with either corresponding Euro fonts (Euro = keystroke E), or with corresponding Alternate (ALT) fonts containing the Euro (Euro = keystroke E) plus other special or alternate characters.
Figures
Oldstyle figures (OSF) are designed to harmonize with letterforms when set within passages of text.
Lining figures (LF) are designed to harmonize within all-cap settings. They are not necessarily tabular (monospaced).
Tabular figures (TF) are monospaced so that they align vertically in columns. They may be lining or non-lining.
Small figures (SF) are lining figures (all the same height) but smaller than cap height.
Descriptive font naming
Some type families may include a number of fonts and utilize a font naming system. Here is list of what some descriptive abbreviations mean:

NOTE: Some fonts may use combinations of descriptive terms. This naming system was designed for larger type families. Some fonts will not utilize descriptive naming.
Font formats
MVB Fonts are available in PostScript® Type 1 format for Macintosh® and PC.
