Decompressing download files
The files you download from this site are compressed and require decompression before installation.
Macintosh users: use Stuffit to decompress the HQX archive (a free version of Stuffit Expander is available from http://www.stuffit.com/expander/). After expanding the HQX archive, follow directions below for Macintosh font installation.
PC/Windows: use WinZip (available from http://www.winzip.com/) or comparable decompression utility to decompress ZIP archive. After expanding the ZIP archive, follow directions below for Windows font software installation.
Macintosh font installation
Mac OS 7.x - 9.x: If you are using font management software (such as Suitcase or ATM Deluxe), follow the instructions that accompany the software. If you are not using font management software, decompress the HQX files (see above), then drag the LOOSE CONTENTS of the folder containing MVB fonts onto your CLOSED System Folder. Your computer should give you a message confirming that the files are being placed in the Fonts folder within your system folder.
Mac OS X: If you are using font management software (such as Suitcase or ATM Deluxe), follow the instructions that accompany the software. If you are not using font management software, decompress the HQX files (see above), then drag the LOOSE CONTENTS of the folder containing MVB fonts into the Fonts folder in the Library folder of your user directory.
Adobe Type Manager (ATM) software is recommended for optimum performance of PostScript fonts, and is required to print PostScript fonts on non-PostScript printers. A free version of ATM is available at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/main.html.
Windows font installation
Windows 95, 98, ME: Adobe Type Manager (ATM) is required to install MVB fonts on Windows 95, 98, or ME. After you have decompressed the downloaded ZIP file (see above), launch ATM, and install the fonts according to the ATM manual. A free version of ATM is available at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/main.html.
Windows 2000, NT, XP: If you are using font management software (such as Suitcase or ATM Deluxe), follow the instructions that accompany the software. If you are not using font management software, decompress the downloaded ZIP file (see above), then drag the LOOSE CONTENTS of the folder containing MVB fonts to the Fonts folder in the Windows folder on the main hard drive.
